Funeral services for Emmon Alonzo Wallis, 81, long time resident of this section, who died Saturday night, were held Monday afternoon, at the Church of Christ at Pea Ridge with Rev. R. B. Williams and Rev. Mr. de Roulhac officiating. Burial was in Pea Ridge cemetery.
Mr. Wallis was born Oct. 3, 1858, son of James Mitchell and Patsy Wallis. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret; two daughters, Mrs. Estelle Lambeth of Marshall, Okla; and Mrs. Myrl LaBass of Beaumont, Calif.; three sons, Artemes of Thermal, Calif., Logan of Elkins, and Clyde of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Gossett of St. Francis, Kans.; four granddaughters, five grandsons and one great grandson. Two daughters and one son are deceased.
