Individual Details

I previously had Marie Georgiana Rabouin or Rabine and Laura Rabine as two separate daughters in this family; however, I have since come to consider them to be the same individual. The baptism repertoire for Saint Paul's Church in Hudson Falls provides information on Georgiana's birth and baptism, and she is included with this family on the 1900 and 1910 Census. Then she seems to disappear, with no record yet found of her death or marriage. We do, however, have a record for Laura Rabine, daughter of Calixte and Mary, marrying Lester A. Gorham on 30 Jun 1915. I have found no reference to Laura in this family before this date; she is not included with them in the census records. With one daughter seeming to disappear and another one dropping out of the sky at about the same time, I have to conclude that they are in fact the same person. For whatever reason, she began calling herself Laura at the time of her marriage. Another possibility is that the name "Laura" on the marriage record was simply a mistake. I have found no later record or mention of her or of Lester Gorham in later census records.
