Cecile Esma RABOUIN

I previously listed two separate daughters of Calixte and Mary here: Cecile (or Celia) and Emma (or Esma or Erma May); however, I now believe them to be the same individual. The baptism repertoire for Saint Paul's Church in Fort Edward lists Cecile's birth and baptism in 1902, and a child named Celia, age 7, is listed on the 1910 census. There is no Emma (or any of its variations) listed with this family on the 1910 Census. Cecile (or Celia) is not listed on the 1920 census, suggesting that she may have either died or married. However, this census shows a 16 year-old daughter called Emma, who was not listed earlier, and I have not been able to find any birth or baptism record for her. This daughter (called Erma May on this record) married William Trackey on 11 April 1923. She and her husband and child were listed as living next door to her parents on the 1930 census; here she was called "Esma." Because of the disappearance of one daughter in the records corresponding to the appearance of a previously unmentioned one, I must conclude that they were actually one and the same person. For whatever reason, Cecile/Celia began to call herself Emma by 1920.
