Also Virgil Smits, their widowed son-in-law, age 35, and their grandchildren: Robert Smits, age 6, and Joan, age 2. Virgil Smits apparently had been married to either Ora or Alma Collette, and had lost his wife fairly recently. I think it most probable that his wife was Alma. Virgil was still single and living at home with his parents at the time of the 1920 Census, while Ora did not appear with her family on the 1920 Census, suggesting that she was already married at the time.
