André Jodoin (age 73, born in Varennes) and Angélique Guilbaut (age 69, born in L'Assomption) were living alone in a one-storey house of wood. He is described as a rentier, i.e. a retired person living on his own income. I am not sure what brought them to live here. There are a number of Blanchards on the same and the previous census page, and their daughter, Therèse, married Jean Baptiste Blanchard, but an Ancestry.com search for each of them has shown that none of them were the children of Therèse and Jean Baptiste.
