Paul E. Desmarais, 68, Sarasota, died Oct. 22, 2005.
He was born Feb. 3, 1937, in Coventry, R.I., and came to Sarasota from there in 1974. He was a self-employed floor installer and was a member of Church of the Incarnation.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Marie; sons Allan of Sarasota and James of Largo; sisters Clair Cavitt of Ocala and Pauline Champayne and Lillian Chevalier, both of Coventry; brothers Robert of West Warwick, R.I., Gerald of Boynton Beach and Oliver of Newbury, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Incarnation. Burial will be in the church memorial garden. Packer Funeral Home is in charge.
