Eva Marie ROSERA

Eva Marie Armstrong, 93, died Monday, May 11. She was born Feb. 23, 1916 in Lena to Mr. and Mrs. John (Laura (Ruelle) Rosera. After her mother died unexpectedly when she was two years old, she made her home with John and Pearl Kinziger where she spent a very happy childhood. She graduated as Salutatorian of the Lena High School Class of 1933. In 1934 she married Clarence Armstrong at St. Charles Catholic Church in Lena. They celebrated 52 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 1986. After moving to Green Bay in 1942, she became a member of Annunciation Parish. She was an Avon Representative for more than 50 years. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. John (Beverly) Brooks of Green Bay; five sons, John Armstrong of Green Bay, Robert Armstrong, Thomas (Marguerite) Armstrong and William (Karen) Armstrong, all of Mountain, James (Christine) Armstrong of Appleton; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence Rosera of Boise, Idaho; sisters-in-law, Marie Kinziger of Niagara, Margaret Rosera of Marinette; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; a great-grandson, Sean Brooks; her parents; four sisters and their spouses, Esther and George Baumgart, Marion (Spirit) Borla, Elaine and Richard Stafford, Marion "Sis" and Ernest Mitchell; four brothers, three sisters-in-law, and a brother-in-law, Arnold (Cecile) Rosera, Howard Rosera, Oliver Rosera, John Kinziger, Jr., Becky Rosera, Lowaine and Hank Schmidtke. Friends may call at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Green Bay, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, May 15. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with Rev. Donald Everts officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family. (Peshtigo Times, 13 May 2009)
