Marie Thérèse PLANTE

Marie Thérèse Plante, daughter of Antoine Plante and Marie Thérèse Boulet, was born and baptized on 10 Aug 1808 at Saint Charles, Bellechasse, Québec, Canada. She married François Ruel, son of François Ruel and Marie Madeleine Destroismaisons Picard, on 15 Aug 1826 at Saint Charles. They were the parents of fourteen children, most of whom were born and baptized at Saint Gervais. Their children included a set of twins, François Xavier and Laurent. By 1845, the year that their daughter Vitaline was born, the family had moved to Lambton, Beauce, Québec. By 1850, they had immigrated to the United States and resided in Green Bay, Brown, Wisconsin, where their fourteenth child was born. At the time of the 1860 federal census, the family lived in Mishicot, Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
