--p. 20: The oldest of a family of six children, she was only eleven years, one month, and two days of age, when the marriage contract was signed on 12 September 1667. This document describes the dowry which the Trudelle parents gave to their daughter: "the sum of 500 livres "tournois", in goods for which the future spouses will have need and necessity, and in addition, the support and livelihood of the future spouses for the space of one year from their espousal, the said sum of 500 livres payable, as said, at the time that the future spouses set up housekeeping independently." In addition, they gave their daughter three habits, or gowns (translation of terms not clear to me). (Much more under husband's notes section.)
--p. 90: (ref. to the new pastor, l'abbe Jean-Marie Matis) One of her first acts was the burial of Jeanne Trudelle which took place on 30 November (1734). The spouse of the late Jean Jacquet de Gerlaise dit St-Amant died at the age of 78 years. The last remaining witness of the beginnings of the parish where she had arrived in Spring of 1669, she courageously shared in the labors and the dangers of clearing the heavy forest, under the menace of the Iroquois, suffering from extraordinary deprivation. She raised, in spite of everything, a family of numerous children who now count among the most respected notables of the seigneury.
