A longtime resident of Placer County, Ronald Norman Murch passed away April 26, 2014 at the age of 83.
Born August 16, 1930 at Highlands Hospital in Auburn to Cecil and Alice Murch. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Emmett and Richard of Lincoln, and wife, Roberta of Auburn.
He attended Lincoln High leaving school to serve in the Navy during WW11. He served two years, eight months in the Navy and received the Navy Occupation Medal. He was a longtime lineman for Pacific, Gas and Electric [retired].
Ron was a member of the Auburn Moose Lodge, enjoyed attending SF 49ers and Giants games with family, loved driving his classic Chevy Pickup through Auburn. He was a friend to many and will be greatly missed. The family thanks the staff at Lincoln Meadows Care Center for the care they provided Ron for the past several years.
Ron is survived by brothers Donald [Marilee]of Lincoln and Raymond of Auburn; son Dennis of Manteca and several step-children.
A viewing only will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Lassila Funeral Chapel, Auburn, California. No Graveside service. Burial is at New Auburn Cemetery, Auburn, California.
