Birth

Listed as one year old on 1894 Michigan State Census and as seven years old on 1900 Census -- this in spite of given birthdate of Jan 1894. Preponderance of evidence seems to suggest that the correct year would be 1893, not 1894. Still checking.

Military

Enlisted 25 May 1918; discharged 28 August 1919.

Census

Joseph LaComb, age 34, was living with the family of his brother, William, as was his father. Not clear if he was single or divorced. He worked as a section hand on the steam railroad.
