Robert Meister, 81, Scandia, died Sunday, July 25, 2010 after complications from a stomach aneurysm. He was the former owner of Meister's Bar and Grill in Scandia and an Army veteran from the Korean War..
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 3 p.m., Thursday, July 29 at St. Francis Xavier Church in Franconia Township, with a visitation in the church lobby starting at 2 p.m. The church is at 25293 Redwing Avenue, Shafer.
Following the Mass, the family will host a light lunch at 4:15 p.m. at the Scandia Community Center.
He is survived by his wife Virginia (Gin); five daughters, Jule (Bob) Nelson, Suzanne (Lama Chimed) Meister, Marianne Meister, LeAnne (Art) Blight and Roxanne (Dave) Miller; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sister-in-laws, Eileen Meister and Sandy Meister; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Rose Meister; three brothers, Jim Meister, Richard Meister and Russell Meister.
Memorials are preferred in Bob Meister's name to the charity of the donor's choice.
