Daniel Frederick BYROM

Daniel Frederick Byrom passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 89 years, 8 months, and 8 days. He was born on Oct. 18, 1923, in San Antonio to Frederick Harvey and Oma Dell Edwards Byrom. Daniel was a former resident of Von Ormy and a resident of Floresville for seven years.
Daniel was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II and the Korean War as a first lieutenant. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lytle and a graduate of Texas A&M.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Joyce Marie Byrom; his parents; and sister Ruth Byrom.
Daniel is survived by his children, Donna Byrom of Austin, Keith Byrom and wife Cheri of Atascosa, and Ronald F. Byrom and wife Patricia of Von Ormy; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A small family gathering was held in the Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, June 30, at 2 p.m. in the Somerset Baptist Church in Somerset.
