Amelia Jessie LANDRY
(12 Aug 1846 - 31 Jan 1934)
Imelda Jessé Landry, daughter of Henri "Honoré" Landry and Scholastique Despins, was born and baptized on 12 Aug 1846 at Saint François du Lac, Yamaska, Québec, Canada. She went by several given names, including Amelia, Emily, and Jesse. Her mother Scholastique died in 1849, when Amelia was three years old. The family immigrated to the United States and settled in Wisconsin, where her father remarried. Amelia married Lawrence Ruelle, son of François Ruel and Marie Thérèse Plante, on 20 Apr 1864 at Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. (The following year, her sister Mary married his twin brother Frank.) Amelia was widowed in 1916. She died in 1934 and was interred in Saint Anthony Cemetery in Niagara, Marinette County.
