Death
Victor and Joseph drowned with their mother on June 8, 1889. Apparently, their bodies were not found for more than a week.Their burial record is listed immediately after their mother's. This is the text:

Le dix-sept juin mille huit-cent quatre vingt neuf, nous curé sousigné, avons inhumé dans le cimétiere de cette paroisse les corps des Victor et Joseph, enfants légitime de Joseph Gelinas, journalier, et de Josephine Raboin de cette paroisse, noyés avec leur mère le huit du présent mois. Victor agé de quatre ans, Joseph de deux ans. Présents Gidéon Gelinas et Hermenigilde Gelinas, qui ont déclaré ne savoir signer.
