Drum and Fife Corps. Revolutionary War Pension #W9092. Family Oral History has it that the painting "Spirit of 76" is modeled after John Justice Sr., John Justice Jr., and Simeon Justice who were all Musicians at Fort Rutledge or Nintey Six, SC. This was mentioned on the History Channel. Also served in Captain Tutts South Carolina Volunteers. Served with General Francis Marion (SWAMP FOX) after his prison release.
