The State, Columbia, South Carolina, Tuesday, May 10, 1938, Page 2, Col. 7: Rock Hill, May 9---Edward Mac Kirkpatrick, 26, of Bascomville, Chester county, died suddenly tonight in a local hospital after a few days' illness. Mr. Kirkpatrick had not been well for several days and his death came as a decided shock after being brought to the local hospital today. Mr. Kirkpatrick was the son of Mrs. Lue Hafner Kirkpatrick, of Chester county and the late Davis I. [A.] Kirkpatrick of Chester county. Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning at Cedar Shoals Presbyterian Church in Chester county with interment in the church cemetery. Along with his mother, Mrs. Davis Kirkpatrick, he is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Frank Kirkpatrick of Fort Lawn, Davis Kirkpatrick and Frazier Kirkpatrick of New Jersey, Carl Kirkpatrick of Knoxville, Tenn., Mrs. Loyd Outen of Charlotte, N. C., and Miss Lucile Kirkpatrick of Richburg.
