Mrs. Porteous, a native and lifelong resident of West Point, died Friday at a Sacramento hospital. Surviving are sons, Raymond of Galt, Wallis of Sacramento, Ronald of Rancho Cordova and Michael of The Dalles, Orel; daughters, Ida Johnston of West Point, Lelia Byington of Idaho, Ruth Evans of North Fork, Madera County, and Tamara Porteous of Sacramento; a sister, Cecilia Mabain of Sacramento; 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
