Kerrville Mountain Sun, Kerrville, Texas, Saturday, March 19, 1983, Page 9, Cols. 2 & 3: Funeral services for Martin Cyril Love, 71 of Copperas Cove, were held at the First United Methodist Church of Lampasas Friday, March 18 with Rev. Bob Blackwell and Rev. Ben Bohmfalk officiating. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Palmer Funeral Home of Copperas Cove. Graveside services were in Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Grimes-Plummer Funeral Chapels. He passed away Wednesday, Mar. 16 in Copperas Cove.
Born April 28, 1912 in Dallas, he was a former resident of Kerrville and had been a resident of Lampasas from 1951 until 1972 when he moved to Copperas Cove. He was the former co-owner of Love Brothers Ford in Lampasas and co-owner of Cove Ford in Copperas Cove.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Saratoga Lodge 546, A.F.&A.M. both in Lampasas, 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, Ben Hur Temple, Austin; past chairman of the board of Stewarts Methodist Church, past president of Methodist Men's Club and Lions Club, Lampasas; and past director of Lampasas Post Salvation Army.
He is survived by his wife, Marion Love; three sons, Richard Love, Bob Love, all of Copperas Cove, and Patrick Love of Grand Prairie; four brothers, Olen Love of Lampasas, Raymond Love of Dallas, Hilton Love of Temple and Billy Ray Love of Carrizo Springs; a sister, Mrs. Georgena Manter of Carrizo Springs and nine grandchildren.
