Ennis Daily News, Ennis, Texas, Tuesday, February 5, 1957, Page 1, Col. 2: Grover C. Tirey Dies at Age 68. Grover C. Tirey, 68, native Ellis Countian, died at his home in Waxahachie, Monday. Tirey was born at Boz and had lived in Waxahachie 18 years. Survivors include his wife, a son, Grover Charles Tirey of Vernon; four brothers, Henry Tirey of Dallas, Jake Tirey and Frank Tirey of Waco, and Shell Tirey of Maypearl; and two sisters, Mrs. O. D. White and Mrs. H. L. Wright, both of Wichita Falls. Funeral services were to be held in Waxahachie this afternoon.
