Patricia Ann Bright was born 6 April 1935. She attended Itawamba Community College. She married Samuel Giles Posey, son of W. F. And Myrtle (Scott) Posey. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University and is president of Maptek, Inc. in Jackson, Mississippi. they live in Madison, Mississippi. There were three (3) children born of the marriage.

Funeral services will be at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, MS on Thursday August 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday August 22 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and Thursday August 23 10:00-11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Parkway Memorial Cemetery following the service.
Anne was a native of Monroe County, MS and was born to Lawrence Jerome Bright and Mary Velma Ritter Bright on April 6, 1935. She graduated from Becker High School and attended Itawamba Junior College before marrying Samuel Giles Posey in 1953. They began their married life in Ballinger, Texas before relocating to Jackson, MS in 1954. Anne and Sam were married for 54 years before he died in 2008.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Anne’s love for her family was the foundation of her life, which was exemplified by her many years of nurturing her children and grandchildren and her devoted caregiving for her spouse and parents.
Anne was a wonderful cook; there was nothing more important to her than having her family around her table to spend time together. She was also an excellent seamstress. Anne and Sam enjoyed traveling and completed several memorable trips around the US, Europe, China, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.
Anne and Sam were charter members of Briarwood Drive Baptist Church and attended faithfully for almost fifty years. Anne was a member of First Baptist Church Madison and attended the Truth Seekers Sunday School Class.
Anne was predeceased by her parents, husband and son-in-law, Sam Sullivan.
She is survived by her three children Suzanne Sullivan of Madison, Jeff Posey (Iris) of Springdale, AR and Phil Posey (Cissie) of Madison as well as her three granddaughters Shannon Gautier (Kody), Sarah Sullivan and Elizabeth Posey.
