Rubel Lewis Elliott was born 28 June 1928 in Nettleton, Lee County, Mississippi. On 3 June 1961 he married in Bolivar, Hardeman County, Tennessee, Nancy Gail Turner, daughter of William Howard and Minnie Lee (Keith) Turner. Nancy was born 19 August 1941. They lived in Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, until Rubel's retirement in 1993. They then moved back to Monroe County, Mississippi, and are living (1994) on a portion of the original Kirkpatrick farm.

There were two (2) children born of the marriage.

Resident of Liberty Township. Memorial service will be on Thursday at 10 A.M. held at Shorten & Ryan Funeral Home, 8791 Cincinnati Dayton Rd., West Chester, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Lung Association.
