The State Journal-Register, Springfield, Illinois, Sunday, January 9, 1994: Virden---Ella Eileen Mabus, 76, of Virden, formerly of Palmyra, died at 3:47 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Berry Funeral Home in Virden. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Palmyra. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Ruth Ann) Payne of Virden and Linda Mabus of Springfield; three grandchildren; a brother, Samuel Ralston of Palmyra; and three sisters, Iris Dean Brown of Jacksonville, Audy Eades of Scottville and Cleone Jackson of Palmyra.
