She was born Feb. 5, 1937, in Fort Worth, to the late Roy Lee and Mary Darvy Smith. She was a nurse at Park Place Hospital in Port Arthur and a Baptist. Survivors: husband, the Rev. Jim Lane; daughters, Tamara Jo Wood of Dayton and Susan Cromer of Richmond, Va.; sons, James Kevin Lane of Houston and Brian Keith Lane of New York City; sisters, Madelyn Carol Herbert and Patsy Lou Simmons, both of Port Neches; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Preceded in death by: parents; brother, James Smith. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday at Triska Funeral Home chapel. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Memorial Baptist Church, the Revs. Harold Sellers and Rick DuBroc officiating. Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Monday at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Port Arthur.
