The Victoria Advocate, Victoria, Texas,Tuesday, September 16, 2014: El Campo---Rev. James 'Jim' Noel Lane, 77 of El Campo, passed away on September 13, 2014. He was born on May 2, 1937 in McCool, Mississippi to the late Noel Wilson and Evleen Kirkpatrick Lane. He served as a minister for over 55 years and served at the Memorial Baptist Church in El Campo. He was a member of NRA and a former member of the Lions Club. He is survived by his wife Suzanne 'Susie' Lane of El Campo, daughter Tamara Wood and husband Jim of Austin, sons Kevin Lane and wife Deborah of Crosby, Brian Lane and wife Angie Recities Lane of Houston, step daughter Sarah Kouba and husband Justin of Houston, step sons Aaron Pardue and wife Becky of Angleton, Adam Pardue and wife Angie of Lubbock, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. His first wife Judith Ann Smith Lane preceded him in death. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 5 pm until 7 pm at Triska Funeral Home. Visitation will also be at the First Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 12 pm until 2 pm followed by funeral services at 2 pm. Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Port Arthur. Condolences may be shared with the family at triskafuneralhome.com.
