Posted at findagrave.com: Christine Alice Clements, 79, of Boise, formerly of McCall, passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 6, with her family at her side. Christine was born March 30, 1928 in St. Louis, Mo. to Chris and Gertrude Krey. She graduated from Cleburne High School in Kansas. Christine met the love of her life, William "Bill" Clements and they were married on Dec. 31, 1945 in San Diego Calif. Bill and Christine resided for many years in La Mesa, Calif. where they raised their five sons on acreage with avocado orchards, horses, and many other pets. Christine was always an avid team mom for all the boys sporting events as they were growing up. She is well known for her champion taco recipe, and provided many athletic team taco feeds. Christine actively supported Bill during his 29 year law enforcement career, and always considered herself a part of the "law enforcement family" as she continued following her son and grandson in their law enforcement careers. She was extremely proud of all five of her sons. Christine was an accomplished musician and artist. She loved playing the piano and painting. In 1975, Bill and Christine retired to McCall, Idaho. After Bill's passing, Christine continued to reside in McCall until 1992 when she moved to Boise to be closer to family, where she continued actively painting, traveling to visit all her sons, and participating in her grandchildren's events. Christine is survived by her sister Shirley of Ft. Worth, Texas, five sons, Bill (Noi) of Phoenix, Ariz., Steve (Lynn) of Weiser, Mike of Hilo, Hawaii, Burt (Jennifer) of Reno, Nev., Bob of Boise, and daughter-in-laws Toni of Boise, Mary of Calif., Diane of Calif., ten grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, and brother Vic. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007 at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, 5400 Fairview in Boise. A private family gravesite service and burial will be held at the McCall, Idaho Cemetery. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at The Seasons of Boise and Family Home Health and Hospice for their friendship, compassion, and care for Christine.
