Rhodes Nursing Home in Marietta, Ga. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery there. He was a World War II Army veteran, a Monroe County Election Committee commissioner and a member of Aberdeen First Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and Sunday school teacher. Mr. Rye, the widower of Tommy Grace Gully Rye, leaves a daughter, Debbie Meriwether of Marietta; a sister, Willie D. Rye of Aberdeen, and two grandsons. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Aberdeen First Baptist Church.
