The Commercial Dispatch, Columbus, Mississippi, Thursday, March 24, 2005: Hamilton---Willie Downing Rye, 90, died March 21, 2005, at the Pioneer Community Hospital in Aberdeen. Graveside services were today at Oddfellows Rest Cemetery with the Rev. R.D. Cline officiating. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen was in charge of the arrangements. Ms. Rye was born Jan. 13, 1915, to the late Woodie Bradford Rye Sr. and Winnie Belle Stewart Rye in Hamilton. She was a retired teacher and a member of Hamilton Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Woodie Bradford Rye.
