Survived by daughter and son-in-law, LeAnne and Harold DeCoste, Wahoo, NE; grandson, Kirk DeCoste, Lincoln, NE; granddaughter, Kate DeCoste, New York, NY; sisters, Cheryl Kliment and Pat Comte, both David City, NE, Peg (Loyd) Erickson, Wahoo, NE; sisters-in-law, Mildred Wright, Wahoo, NE, Lucille Davis, Corning, IA; special friend, Dorothy Anderson, Wahoo, NE; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. FUNERAL Friday 11am First Congregational Church. Interment Friday 10am Sunrise Cemetery. Friends are invited to join the family for committal service at cemetery. Fremont Tribune, Fremont, Nebraska, Feb. 22, 2007: Betty V. Davis Patzloff, 79, of Wahoo died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, in Lincoln. She was born Nov. 11, 1927, in Malmo to Everett and Irma (Kirkpatrick) Davis. She married Ernest H. Patzloff Jr. “Patz” on Jan. 18, 1946, in Wahoo. She worked in the Saunders County Assessor's office for 41 years, the last 21 years as the county assessor. She was past president of the Southeast Assessors Association and past president of the Nebraska Assessors Association. She was a member of First Congregational Church in Wahoo for 61 years. Her many other civic activities included being a member of the Golden Warriors, the Missouri Valley Boxer Club, board member for the Wahoo Centennial, the American Kennel Club, Hilltop Country Club, Wahoo Eagles Lodge, Saunders County Democrats, Nebraska Association of County Officials, International Association of Assessing Officers, Wahoo Fireman Auxiliary, Saunders County Historical Society and the Wahoo Chamber of Commerce. She also had been active as a 4-H dog club leader - the Wag N' Tails -, as a mentor for A.I.M., working with Christmas on the Prairie and special ministries. She and her friend, Dorothy, comprised the “Committee of 2,” starting the Lighted Christmas Parade which has become an annual Wahoo tradition. Survivors include: a daughter, LeAnne (and husband, Harold) DeCoste of Wahoo; three sisters, Cheryl Kliment and Pat Comte, both of David City, and Peg (and husband, Loyd) Erickson of Wahoo; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Wright of Wahoo and Lucille Davis of Corning, Iowa; special friend, Dorothy Anderson of Wahoo; a grandson and a granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, two brothers and two brothers-in-law. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Congregational Church in Wahoo with the Rev. Todd Storm officiating. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Pruss-Nabity Funeral Home in Wahoo with a Time of Remembrance service at 7 p.m. Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday at Sunrise Cemetery in Wahoo. Memorials may be made in care of the family for a later designation.
