Oct. 11, 1860 near Big Springs, Ohio, she was married to Geo. M. Easton. During the spring of 1866 the family left Ohio and located in Boone Co., Iowa. After a two year's residence they moved from Iowa to Schuyler Co., Mo. and from this last locality Bor. and sister Easton became residents of Kahoka, this state, where after a gradual decline in health for over a year sister Easton passed from among us April 22, 1904. Their family consists of seven children, five sons and two daughters, one of the daughters having died in 1889. The funeral services took place from the family residence conducted by the write assisted by the Pastor of the Baptist church, April 23, at 3:00 p.m., after which the remains were placed to rest in Kahoka cemetery. The family are assured the sympathy and condolence of many friends. Sister Easton in her youth gave her heart to God and maintained her Christian faith until transferred from the church militant to the church triumphant. It is in this Christina character the husband and children find their heart relieving solace. ---S.D. Kendall
The biography of Lydia's son, Thomas J. Easton in the Nebraskana Society states that he was the son of "George McColloch and Lydia Stuyvesant (Haney) Easton." This is the only reference to her middle name, if it is indeed correct.
