He was born May 4, 1900 in Missouri and came to Idaho in 1912 with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George E. Pomeroy. The family lived at Hollister for many years. Mr. Pomeroy was graduated from Twin Falls high school and received his bachelor of arts and master of arts degrees at the University of California. He married Harriett Tempa Brown in 1926 and she preceded him in death. Mr. Pomeroy taught in Gooding and was principal at the Hunt relocation center during the war, at a Boise school and at Denny junior high school, West Seattle. He was a member of West Seattle Congregational church, Twin Falls lodge No. 45, AF & AM, and the advisory Scout council at West Seattle. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Nancy Bauman Pomeroy, whom he married in 1954, his mother, Mrs. Lena Pomeroy Caldwell; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Louchs, Twin Falls, and Mrs. Helen Harvey, Caldwell, and a brother, William K. Pomeroy, South Gate, Calif. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Seattle. Graveside rites will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at Twin Falls cemetery with the Rev. Donald Hoffman officiating.
