George Edward Pomeroy

Pomeroy, 68, Twin Falls county farmer and truck gardener since 1912, died at 6 a.m. Monday at his home north of Twin Falls county general hospital. Arrangements for services awaiting word from relatives, will be announced by the White mortuary. Born Aug. 24, 1876, at Adrian, Ill., Mr. Pomeroy came to Idaho in 1912 and operated a Salmon River project farm for 18 years. For the past 14 years he had operated a truck farm north of the county general hospital. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. Besides his wife, Mrs. Lena Pomeroy, he is survived by two sons, William K. Pomeroy of Fort Warren, Wyo., and Richard A. Pomeroy of Seattle, and two daughters, Mrs. Chester Loucks of Twin Falls and Mrs. J. L. Harvey of Caldwell. He leaves also two sisters, Miss Ida Pomeroy of Carthage, Ill., and Mrs. Frances McFarland of Baring, Mo.

Pomeroy, Twin Falls county farmer and truck gardener since 1912 who died last Monday, were conducted Thursday afternoon at the White Mortuary chapel, Dr. G. L. Clark, assisted by the Rev. Mark C. Cronenberger, officiating. Mrs. U. N. Terry sang two numbers. Pallbearers were C. W. Strickling of Gooding, Guy L. Peters of Hollister, Beryl Kunkel and Dale Kunkel of Amsterdam, A. J. Requa and C. E. Grieve of Twin Falls. Burial was in Twin Falls cemetery.
