Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Arnold, 93, a long time resident of Fort Madison, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Brant Clements Chapel. the Rev. Gerald F. Sawyer will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery. Mrs. Arnold died Tuesday Jan. 18, in St. Luke's Hospital in Davenport. She had lived the past two years with a daughter, Mrs. Alfred Eisenberger, in Davenport. Mrs. Arnold was born Feb. 17, 1878, in Fort Madison. On Dec. 12, 1898, here, she was married to Granville L. Arnold, who preceded her in death. She was a lifelong member of the First Christian church here and a past member of the Kings Daughters Union and the Order of Eastern Star. Besides her daughter in Davenport, she is survived by a son, T. W. Arnold, Bettendorf; a brother, Bryan Wilson, Fort Madison; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Junkins, also of Fort Madison; and six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and three sisters. Her parents were Thomas and Henriette Schlagenbusch Wilson. The family will meet friends at Brant-Clements from 7 to 9 this evening.
