Rebecca Glee “Becky” Rogers, daughter of Fred Lindzey and Essie Brown Wine, was born October 18, 1941, in Clinton, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, February 22, 2005, in her home, in Camdenton, Missouri, at the age of sixty-three years, four months, and four days. On July 1, 1961, she was united in marriage to Jimmy Clayton Rogers, and to this union one daughter was born. Her parents, and a sister, Joyce Hatfield, preceded her in death. Becky is survived by her husband, Jimmy, of the home; a daughter, Gayle A. Dugan, and her husband, Paul, of Camdenton, Missouri; a granddaughter, Rebecca Dugan, of Camdenton, Missouri; a brother, Larry Allen, of Guadalajara, Mexico; a sister, Esther Sole, of Independence, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Jerry Rogers, and his wife, Bertha, of Camdenton, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in Clinton, Missouri, and then moved with her family to Kansas City, Missouri, while she was in the eighth grade. She graduated from West Port High School in Kansas City in the Class of 1961. After graduating, she married her high school sweetheart and they moved to Camdenton in 1967. Besides being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Becky also worked as a final inspector for the Modine Manufacturing Company until retiring. In her spare time she enjoyed reading old magazines and cookbooks, sewing, cooking, and doing embroidery. She also liked planting and growing beautiful flowers. Her family was very important to her, and she especially enjoyed her grand daughter. Becky was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments, and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 25, 2005, in the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
