James Clayton "Jimmie" Rogers

Posted at findagrave.com: Camdenton, Mo. - Jimmie Clayton Rogers, son of Wade H. and Theo E. Cyrus Rogers, was born, June 23, 1943, in Camdenton, Mo. He departed this life, Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Mo. at the age of 67 years, four months and 10 days. On July 1, 1961, in Kansas City, Mo., he was united in marriage to Rebecca Glee Wine and to this union one daughter was born. Together they shared more than 43 years of marriage before her passing on Feb. 22, 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Rogers. Survivors include by his daughter, Gayle Dugan and husband Paul; a granddaughter, Rebecca Dugan; a brother, Jerry Rogers and wife Bertha all of Camdenton, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Jimmie was raised in the Eldridge area and attended Marple School there. As a young man, the family moved to Blue Springs, Missouri and he attended High School in Kansas City. He returned to the lake area in 1968 where he worked as a welder for various companies. He had also worked for Quirks Bean Company and as a carpenter for Welker and Wightman. Jimmie made a profession of faith and was a member of Big Niangua Missionary Baptist Church. He was an ordained minister. He loved the outdoors and in his spare time played the guitar and was an avid deer and turkey hunter. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his granddaughter. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, in Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home.
