Democrat American, Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Thursday, November 5, 1936, Page 3, Col. 5: John William Glass, 66, died at his home near Vian, Okla., October 27, following an illness of nine days of pneumonia. He was born at Greenwood, Ark., Mary 19, 1870, having moved to Sequoyah county a number of years ago. He was a member of the Baptist church. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Molly Glass, five daughters, four sons, 14 grandchildren, seven brothers and three sisters. Funeral services were held at the home at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. D. C. Callahan officiating. Interment was in the Drake Stand cemetery under the direction of Moore's Funeral Home.
