Ruble, 38*, attorney, and leader of the Blaine-La Follette forces in Grant county, was drowned in Horn lake at 9 a.m. Thurday. Postmaster Richard Goodell recovered the body after a short search. Mr. Ruble is survived by his mother.

Ruble, Grant county attorney and political leader, will be held today at 1:30 p.m. from the home, 2 p.m. from the First Congregational church, Platteville. The Rev. R. F. Merritt will officiate.

Jesse Ruble, 40*, prominent attorney of this city and well known all over Grant county, met death by drowning in Horn's pond here about 8 o'clock Thursday morning, July 4. Death was probably brought on by an attack of heart failure as Mr. Ruble was a good swimmer.
