Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Aycock Dunn, a former teacher in the Hearne Public Schools, were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, from Grace Methodist Church of Bremond with the Rev. Robert Porter officiating. Burial followed in Bremond Cemetery. Mr. Dunn died Monday, February 3, in a Temple hospital. She was born in Princeton, graduated from North Texas State University and had taught English and other courses in Texas for over 30 years before retiring. She was a member of the Texas State Teachers Association and the Methodist Church. She was married to Rayford Leon Dunn on February 5, 1946 in McKinney and they later moved to Bremond. Mrs. Dunn is survived by her husband; one sister, Miss Enid Aycock of Gladewater; two brothers, C. S. Aycock of La Center, Kentucky and James Leon Aycock of Bremond.
