Alice Leona Davis was born 17 October 1880 in Marceline, Linn County, Missouri, and died 10 may 1960 in Olathe, Johnson County, Kansas. She married 12 Jun 1907, Charles R. Lodge, who was born 29 January 1879 in Downey, Iowa and died in 1949. He was assistant secretary and assistant treasurer of the Sinclair Pipe Line Company at the time of his death. Alice was a member of the Christian Science Church.

Lodge, 79, 717 South Chestnut, died Tuesday at the Olathe Community hospital where she had been a patient two days. Mrs. Lodge, mother of Herbert L. Lodge, local attorney, moved to Olathe ten months ago from Independence where she had lived more than 46 years. She was born at Marceline, Mo., October 17, 1880.
Her husband, Charles L. Lodge, preceded her in death in 1949. He had been associated with the Santa Fe railroad at Marceline, Mo. and Topeka and with the Sinclair oil company at Independence.
Mrs. Lodge was a member of the Christian Science church at Independence and the Mother Church of Christ Scientist, Boston, Mass. She also was a member of the Oder of the Eastern Star in Independence.
Besides her son, Mrs. Lodge is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Vivian Younkin, Lakeland, Fla., and Mrs. Alma Green of Burwell, Neb., and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Pott's funeral home chapel in Independence followed by cremation. Local arrangements are being made by W. L. Frye and Son funeral home.
