Jennings, La., April 7---(special)---Charles Clark Hill, 81, pioneer resident, who has lived here for the past 39 years, died at his home, following a long illness. Born in Shelby county, Indiana he moved to Iowa following the death of his parents. He was an engineer by trade, but devoted several years of his life to farming. The deceased was a devout member of the United Brethren church. Surviving are his wife, who is 78 years of age; two daughters, Mrs. E. E. Reynolds of Kinder and Mrs. C. A. Wilkinson of Jennings; and one son, F. J. Hill of Nome, Texas. Funeral services were conducted from the Brethren church. Reverend T. M. Johnson officiating. Interment was made in Greenwood cemetery.
