From the Tri-City Trib, Tuesday, May 4, 1982: Anderson rites today. Archie Anderson, 71 of Cozad died Sunday at a house north of Cozad. He was born Sept. 5, 1910 in Cozad. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Cozad, a member of B.P.O.E. 2250 and the Lexington Eagles Club. He is survived by his wife, Eva, of Cozad; three step sons, Raymond Gronewold of Farnam, Richard Nicholsen of Cozad and Donald Nicholsen of Las Animas, Colo., one stepdaughter, Mrs. Robert (Louise) Hintz of San Diego, Calif., one sister, Mrs. Don (Florence) Schmeeckle of Cozad, six step-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad with Pastor Keith Hedstrom officiating. Burial will be in the Cottonwood Cemetery in Cozad. A memorial has been established to the Cozad Community Hospital. Visitation is today (Tuesday) from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home.
