Wesson, 72, of Fayetteville died Tuesday, July 25, 1989, in a Fayetteville hospital. Born Oct. 23, 1916, at Cave City, the son of James O. and Ida Girtman Wasson, he was composing room supervisor at the Northwest Arkansas Times for 27 years, retiring seven years ago from that position. He served with the U. S. Navy Seabees during World War Ii and was a member of University Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Miracle Wasson of the home; a son, David J. Wasson of Joplin, Mo.; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at University Baptist Church with burial in Woodland Cemetery in Clarksville, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
