Herald-Democrat, Clarksville, Arkansas, August 19, 1938: W. V. Temple Dies This Morning In Ft. Smith Hospital. W. V. Temple, 57 years old life-long resident of Johnson county died this morning at Sparks Memorial hospital, Fort Smith, after an illness of five weeks. Funeral service will be held at Liberty Hill at two o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Rev. J. J. Partain will have charge of the services. Survivors are: three daughters, Mrs. J. G. Swink, Jacksonville, Texas, Mrs. Harlan Green, Ozark, Mrs. Mickey Geisler, Hartman; one son Lannis Temple of Little Rock; a brother, R. C. Temple of Little Rock; five sisters, Miss Gertie Temple, Mrs. J. G. Harmon, Mrs. Harve Wilson and Mrs. Laura Williams, all of Clarksville, and Mrs. Dora Qualls of Mt. Ida; and four grandchildren. Hardwicke funeral home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
