On the 1910 Census Levi is with his parents in Bowling District, Perry County, Kentucky as a single man age 28, occupation is farm laborer.

Posted at findagrave.com: On Feb. 15, 1912, Levi D. Johnson and John Davidson were killed in Buckhorn, Ky. According to "Breathitt County Journal Winter 1989", they, and six of their friends were shooting up the town and fired into Steve Sandlin's home. In the battle that followed, the two were killed. According to "Stories of Kentucky Feuds", by Harold Wilson Coates, John Davidson and Levi Johnson were ambushed.

Two years before Ed Callahan, former sheriff of Breathitt Co., was killed, Elisha Smith and Levi Johnson made the first attempt to kill Ed Callahan. The direct cause of Ed Callahan's death was the killing of John Davidson and Levi Johnson on Feb. 15th, 1912.

Killing at Buckhorn. Another Man is Wounded and 5 Person Are said to Have Participated. (By Associated Press) Jackson, Ky., Feb. 15---A long slumbering Breathitt county feud war was revived today when John Davidson and Levi Johnson, were killed and other man wounded near Buckhorn, shooting was done from Sandlin's store along the mountain road and five men are said to have participated.

Davidson recently was acquitted of the charge of murdering John Abner, who had been identified with the Callahans of this section. He was friendly with the Deatons, which has resulted in what is termed the Deaton-Davidson clan.
