From Legacy.com: Gladys Jean "Witchy Poo" Rutter Kirkpatrick died Monday, Oct. 2 at age 76. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was born Jan. 14, 1930 to Lloyd Gordon Rutter and Hazel Belle Ankney Baker in Pitcairn, Pa. She had been a Yolo County resident for 36 years. In 1950 she took the train to San Francisco to live with her oldest brother Gordon and worked at Hamilton Air Force Base as a civilian. While residing in Perris, she was active in the local PTA and worked as a secretary to the city manager. She also was involved in the Junior and Senior Women's Club. In Woodland she worked at the courthouse as a secretary and she and her husband volunteered in Job's Daughters for nearly 20 years.
Survivors include Mrs. Kirkpatrick's husband of 55 years, Leonard M. Kirkpatrick Jr.; her daughter, Alice Espitallier and her husband Steve; her son, Leonard M. Kirkpatrick III and his wife Jeananne, all of Woodland; her grandchildren, Justin, Tommy and Candy Kirkpatrick of Washington and Anna, Maddie and Nathan Espitallier of Woodland; her sisters, Anabel Martin of Hemet, Lucille Woodcock of Ohio and Patty Whyel of Pennsylvania; her brother, Bryan Rutter and his wife Jean, of Yucaipa, her sisters-in-law Carolyn Hunter of Covina and Amy Rutter of Florida, her brother-in-law, Bill Miller of Pitcairn as well as many nieces and nephews.
Services: A memorial service was held Friday, Oct. 6 at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland. McNary's Chapel assisted the family with arrangements. Published in Daily Democrat on Oct. 7, 2006.
