Posted at findagrave.com: Steven William Marquis was born Oct 6, 1958 in Holderge, NE to William (Bill) and Doris Marquis. He attended school in Holdrege and graduated with the class of 1976. He attended Central Community College in Hastings studying electronics. While in Hastings he met Cynthia(Cindy) Griess. They were married in Sutton, NE on February 21, 1981. Three sons were born to this union, Shane, Justin and Kyle.
Steve worked for Lester Electrical in Lincoln for over 35 years, working his way up to Production Manager. Steve was an avid Husker football fan, attending many home and away games. He enjoyed camping with extended family and his beloved dogs. Steve and Cindy enjoyed cruising with their boys and also extended families. Being able to combine an out of town football game and a cruise in the same vacation was the ultimate trip for him.
He passed away on Sunday September 25, 2016 at his home surrounded by family, after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Cindy, sons Shane, Justin and Kyle(Celia Duncan), sisters Janet(John) Ashley of Holdrege, Nancy(Todd) Pillen of Albuquerque, NM, brother Gerald of Holdrege, 11 nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents and grandparents.
His ashes were laid to rest at Yankee Hill Cemetary in Lincoln, Ne.
