New Castle News, New Castle, Pennsylvania, Thursday, January 7, 1932, Page 2, Col. 6: Dr. Harris Funeral. Funeral services for Dr. David R. Harris, New Castle's oldest physician, were held Wednesday afternoon from the family home of Fairfield avenue, with Rev. P. C. Pearson, rector of the Trinity Episcopal church, and Dr. Walter E. McClure, pastor of the First Presbyterian church officiating. The funeral party left this morning for Harrisburg, where further services will be held this afternoon and interment made.

Harris, 77 years of age, oldest physician of the city, expired at his home last Monday. He was born in Dowlais, South Wales, coming to this country with his parents when 8 years of age. He spent his boyhood in Pittsburgh, where he completed his preliminary education at the University of Western Pennsylvania.
