Posted at findagrave.com---The Oklahoman, Wednesday, Aug 31, 1955: William Frances McMann, 72, city businessman, died Tuesday afternoon from a heart condition at his home, 417 NW 34. He had been in failing health since the first of the year. Services are pending at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home.
McManus was born in Clarion, Iowa and came to Oklahoma in 1909, settling at Shawnee. The family moved to Oklahoma City in 1917. An adjuster with the General Adjustment Co here, McManus had been associated with the company for 20 years. He was a member of Our Lady's Cathedral, the Knights of Colulmbus, Blue Goose, and the Oklahoman Club. Surviving are his wife, Hattie, of the home; a son, Francis J. McManus, Tulsa; a daughter, Mrs W. Robert Butcher, 1830 NW 18; and six grandchildren.
