Burlington Hawk Eye, Burlington, Iowa, Thursday, August 20, 1998, Page 11, Col. 4: Carol Mae Wynn, 67, of West Burlington, died at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 1997, at her home. Born Nov. 1, 1930 at Carl, she was the daughter of Dwight and Irene Pierce[Peairs] Kirkpatrick. She married Jack Wynn Sept. 4, 1949, in Creston. Mrs. Wynn was a 1919 graduate of Creston High School and was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a seamstress.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Rebecca Douglas of Lake Jackson, Texas, Debra Leichty of Wayland, and Susan Barnhart of Walla Walla, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; her mother of Creston; three sisters, Coleen [Colleen] Brotherton, Lois Jay and Diane Loomis, all of Creston; two brothers, Jerry Kirkpatrick of Creston and Edward Kirkpatrick of Newport News, Va.; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother.
Visitation will be after 8 a.m. today at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral for Mrs. Wynn will be 10 a.m. Friday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Bradley Cranston officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Heritage Baptist Church.
