Louie Leroy Stuber, died early Tuesday morning, September 7th. at Eureka hospital from injuries received six days previously in an automobile wreck, near Eureka. Mr. Stuber was 50 years and nine months of age, and had spent his entire life near Eureka, with the exception of a short time spent in Indiana and Washington while a young man. He was united in marriage to Miss Mollie Kirkpatrick of near Eureka January 9, 1919. To them were born four children, one of whom, Wilbur Louis, died in infancy. Two sons, Lawrence, ten years of age, Ivan, eight, and one daughter, Hilda Belle, three, with wife survive him. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. John Andrews, of near Eureka, one brother, Carl Stuber, of Los Angeles, California, one sister, Mrs. Edna Barrier of Los Angeles, California, a half sister, Mrs. Celia Nipher, also of Los Angeles, and a half brother, Leonard Andrew, who makes his home with the mother.
Mr. Stuber, who was well known throughout the country, was a kind and indulgent father, a good neighbor and friend and his death removes a highly respected citizen from the Honey Creek community where he and Mrs. Stuber were making their home with Mrs. Stuber's father, John Kirkpatrick. Funeral service was conducted at 2:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon, September 10, from the home of his mother, Mrs. John Andrews. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Eureka, Kansas.
